On Wednesday May 5, 2010 the B.C. Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS Forefront Lecture Series will present a talk by Dr. Angela Kaida called “Investigating the impact of expanding access to antiretroviral therapy on reproductive decision-making, behaviours, and outcomes of women in HIV hyper-endemic settings of sub-Saharan Africa.”
Angela Kaida, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow at the Women’s Health Research Institute. Her research examines the reproductive trends of HIV-positive women in BC’s “HAART era” (roughly 1996 and onward) and investigates the complex interplay between pregnancy, antiretroviral adherence, and HIV disease progression.
The talk will be at noon in the Hurlburt Auditorium on the 2nd floor of the Providence Building at St. Paul’s Hospital.
A light lunch and refreshments will be served. For more information please contact Andrea Keesey
