News889 – The Todd Veinotte Show

On June 12th, 2013 GSHI’s Dr. Kate Shannon was a guest on The Todd Veinotte Show on News889 radio broadcasting in Saint John, New Brunswick and Halfiax, Nova Scotia. She discussed the use of evidence-based policy reform to improve health, safety and HIV prevention for sex workers in light of Bedford v. Canada being heard by the Supreme Court of Canada June 13th, 2013.

The BC-CfE Laboratory is streamlining reporting processes for certain tests in order to simplify distribution and record-keeping, and to ensure completeness of results. Beginning September 2, 2025, results for the ‘Resistance Analysis of HIV-1 Protease and Reverse Transcriptase’ (Protease-RT) and ‘HIV-1 Integrase Resistance Genotype’ tests will be combined into a single ‘HIV-1 Resistance Genotype Report’.
