Statistician

The Statistician is responsible for independent and collaborative analyses, interpretation and reporting of HIV data collected in the provincial HIV registry. This role provides statistical support to medical fellows, physicians, researchers and students on HIV research related projects, supporting the development of data collection, providing analytical support, performing quantitative analyses, and collaborating on scientific papers, abstracts and grants.

Data Entry Clerk

The Data Entry Clerk performs accurate abstraction, data entry and database maintenance for the provincial HIV/AIDS drug treatment and prevention programs and for other select programs and studies within BC-CfE and its affiliated clinics. Accurately, and within strict timelines, abstracts and enters client, provider, and prescription data, used for clinical, operational, monitoring and evaluation, and research purposes, from related forms into the relevant database. Transfers data from paper and electronic formats into computer files or database systems, verifying data by comparing it to source documents.

Program Medical Director

The Program Medical Director (“PMD”), Hope to Health Research and Innovation Complex (H2H), is responsible, in partnership with the Clinical Operations Director, for the planning and implementation of existing clinical services. These include longitudinal and episodic primary care, provision of opioid agonist therapy (OAT), provision of injectable OAT, harm reduction services, safer drug supply, supervised consumption site, clinical teaching and specialist care. The program medical director will also be responsible for the development of future clinical services at H2H.

The BC-CfE Laboratory is streamlining reporting processes for certain tests in order to simplify distribution and record-keeping, and to ensure completeness of results. Beginning September 2, 2025, results for the ‘Resistance Analysis of HIV-1 Protease and Reverse Transcriptase’ (Protease-RT) and ‘HIV-1 Integrase Resistance Genotype’ tests will be combined into a single ‘HIV-1 Resistance Genotype Report’.
