What you need to know about provinces covering costs for an HIV prevention drug

Alberta recently joined 6 other provinces in covering some or all of the costs for an HIV prevention drug program. It’s known as Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis or PrEP. Dr. Julio Montaner, head of the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS, speaks with Global National about why some provincial governments are picking up the costs-and who is eligible for the coverage.

Canada Post has provided notification of restarting their operations on December 17, 2024. As Canada Post ramps up and stabilizes their services, the BC-CfE will continue the following measures on an interim basis to minimize service disruption to BC-CfE clients and providers.
