What’s new in Benzodiazepines?

The second “What’s New?” lecture featuring a presentation by Dr. Nitasha Puri, of the St. Paul’s Addiction Medicine Fellowship Program, entitled “What’s new in Benzodiazepines?”. Dr. Puri will speak for approximately 40 minutes, allowing for about 15 minutes of questions and discussion. This lecture will will include a light lunch. As we had an overwhelming response to our first lecture, we encourage everyone to please click here to RSVP, so that we can ensure that there is sufficient space in the Auditorium.

Nitasha is a recent graduate in family medicine and trained at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. She is interested in providing full spectrum general care as well as specialized addictions care and is honoured to be receiving training through the St. Paul’s addictions fellowship program. Not only is she interested in the complex clinical care of patients with chronic disease such as addiction, she is also avid about teaching advocacy, examining systemic issues, and harnessing interprofessional networks to make long lasting change at the level of social determinants. She has been involved in various projects and committees that leverage these interests and looks forward to continuing alongside her clinical practice.
