“Room for Improvement: Making Quality Practical” – Kathleen Clanon, MD, is an internal medicine physician with a specialty in HIV/AIDS. She is currently part of the Pacific AIDS Education and Training Centre and a HIV quality consultant with the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute. In this lecture, Dr. Clanon will share her experiences in leading HIV quality improvement projects in a multitude of clinical settings leading to the delivery of higher quality, more effective care through a planned process of quality improvement. Specifically, Dr. Clanon will feature the model of the structured learning collaborative as one QI methodology that has the potential to create significant positive changes in clinical care in relatively short periods of time.
