Shira Goldenberg
Shira Goldenberg is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Gender and Sexual Health Initiative of the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS and the Division of AIDS in the Department of Medicine at UBC. She is a global health researcher who has been conducting qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research on social and structural factors shaping HIV and sexually transmitted infections among mobile, vulnerable populations in Canada and Latin America since 2006. Her current research aims to explore how migration and mobility patterns influence the health and safety of migrant sex workers in Vancouver and along the Mexico/Guatemala border.
