HIV Care Round | HIV in New Zealand – a clinicians perspective

Dr. Mill’s will discuss the impact of New Zealand’s healthcare structure on the way the HIV epidemic has developed. He will emphasize early needle exchange, immigration patterns, PHARMAC (New Zealand’s version of PharmaCare) and ART availability.

Speakers’ Bio
Dr. Graham Mills, is an Infectious Diseases Physician from Hamilton, New Zealand currently on a two month sabbatical within St Paul’s Hospital and the BC-CfE. He has been involved in the management of HIV infection in Australasia for over 25 years and currently cares for 200 patients in his New Zealand clinic. He has a number of publications describing the NZ HIV epidemic and has been a long term member on working groups within the Kirby Institute in Australia. He was also a principal investigator in the SMART study.

During this time, we recommend that documents be faxed or couriered to our sites, versus utilization of regular mail service.
