Argentina E. Servin, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Global Public Health, Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). She is a bilingual (English/Spanish) clinician trained in preventive medicine, infectious diseases and clinical epidemiology. Dr. Servin’s research has included examination of gender-based violence (GBV) and risk for HIV and STIs among medically underserved women and girls, as well as identifying barriers to accessing sexual and reproductive services among medically underserved populations (e.g., at-risk-youth, sex workers, injection drug users, people living with HIV) in the U.S. and internationally. Additionally, Dr. Servin is a medical volunteer at UCSD’s Health Frontiers in Tijuana (HFiT) clinic where she provides quality healthcare to underserved populations such as migrants, deportees and refugees living in the US-Mexico border region.


This is a free lecture and is open to the public. The lectures are geared towards researchers, clinicians, students and hospital staff.
